Invalid values

I'm seeing what seems like invalid (or missing) emoji values. Here's an example:

OK this is delving into some weird emoji stuff which I did not know about (now or then) https://emojipedia.org/unicode-7.0
the middle character is reserved for "portable stereo" but is part of a group of "...other characters remain part of Unicode, but are not recommended to be included as emojis"
So maybe it would show up in a non-standard font? But it might be better to replace them with some newer emojis
