"Cannot read propertties of undefined (reading 'toHex')"

I am trying to send a message to a mail address for which I do not have a PGP key defined in Mailvelope. I have only a company PGP key which I try to use via the "add extra key" feature.

If I try to send the mail I get the following error

Cannot read propertties of undefined (reading 'toHex')

Any idea what the reason for that could be and what I can do?
