If the sending client or server doesn't set the field MIAB won't add one, which I think can cause two problems:

  1. Adds to the spam score of the mail, see #1356 (comment), the current SpamAssassin config gives it a +0.1

  2. It can result in the duplication of the mail if it's sent to multiple addresses of the same user.

Roundcube uses <{hash}@{domain}> as the ID, complying with the suggestion in the RFC.

I'm not familiar with SMTP, so I might have missed some reason why this is not a good idea.
