No WinMD Volume in Device Manager

I managed to successfully create a raid0 setup in Linux, and have also installed WinMD following instructions here. I see WinMD controller in device manager, but there is no WinMD volume. Disk management recognizes the external hard drive is connected, and that it has two partitions, but I cannot access the drive in Explorer. What am I doing wrong? How do I save data to the drive in Windows?

I have the exact same issue even after 3 tries using multiple methods of formatting and wiping the entire drive + raid superblocks.
The drive is visible in windows disk management and so are both partitions but it is not listed as a volume. Device manager only shows the controller.

Attempted with either the windows installer or chocolatey package.

My attempts were using methods listed in this guide and issues thread.
