Hi Lukas,
The new system you write is really great. We hope it will grow a long time. Maybe you could have a look here: http://www.automodeller.com/ to see what may be a new way to model in the coming years. It would be great to ensure the new system will have the foundation to allow this in the future.

Mirlip

Thanks for the link.
This looks quite interesting and i guess it's really useful for certain
kinds of work. I can't really say how/when this might work with nodes in
blender though, it's just too early. A lot of it is about good tool design,
which would be possible with scripting already. It's also quite specialized
and not a priority for me atm. I do however want to use nodes for tools in
general, for example i really like how substance painter uses particles for
texture painting. Many many more things are possible. Perhaps this is
something a coder should do when hired specifically for it by a studio
which needs it.

Cheers,
Lukas

Thanks for the quick answer,
I didn't mean you to implement it, of course it is specialised and can't be implemented in 2 days. But the new node/particle system will most certainly will the base this work will be build upon. So I was just saying (as you are still in an early design phase and this work will stay in master for a long period) that it may be a good idea to make sure such a project will be possible.

Cheers,
Mat
