backup_to_dir backups rotation

• Operating System: Ubuntu 18.04

I'm using backup_to_dir for my inputs, is it possible to set up backups rotation somehow?

I mean, I can (1) manually clear backup files, (2) set up cron job, but maybe there are some built-in options?
