Trying to clean up this method...how do I invoke VegasFS::Router.configure_authentication in irb?

The only way I've found to do this is to change all the methods to self.configure_authentication for example and then I can invoke them in irb when I do the include, or instantiate an object but when I try to do that with the Router object it fails. Is there another way to do this?
