Manual priority changes for performance

This issue tracks changes where priorities were manually set to improve typeclass synthesis.
#11980 is relevant here. In all the instances whose priority has been manually adjusted in this PR, I've added the sentence
-- priority manually adjusted in #11980
to make sure they're easy to find (and fix) later if needed. The same could be done in other PRs with the same flavor.
