Maintainers needed

lc-at opened this issue · comments

I have been quite busy and not being able to maintain this package very actively. Also, I don't think I will have that much of a time to maintain it actively in the near future.

I believe that this library could be maintained better if there is another maintainer who is willing to maintain this project on their spare time. If anyone is interested to become a maintainer of this project, please let me know, I would really appreciate that.

Interested.

@rijumone Thanks for your interest!

Honestly, I don't know where to start, this is one of my first open-source projects. Should I just grant an access? If so, I have invited you as a collaborator.

If anyone else is also interested in becoming a maintainer, please let me know.

Thanks, accepted the same. Even I am new to this game. Hoping to learn loads.
Let's start by assigning a priority according to urgency and difficultly to implement to each open issue, yes?
Let's keep it simple for now with only HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW values for priority allowed for now.
You will be in a better position to complete this since you know the project best.

Nice to hear that.

I should just label them, right? Or, should make a dedicated issue for tracking all those other issues?

UPDATE: I have labeled them just now. Does it look good to you?

Looks good. We should start with the high ones. There are two. I motion that we should pick this first since it's more recent, it has more detail and I was able to reproduce this.

Agreed @rijumone. #19 is quite critical actually.

Hi, i'm interested to collaborate. I'm currently using the project i'm working to allow it send and receive messages. I'm also quite busy, but i will try to help with the project. I have make a fork of the project and will be uploading my updates to the package.

@reinier-millo Do you want to be a maintainer? Or, do you just want to contribute?

If you want to be a maintainer, I will consider inviting you as a collaborator as well.

I would like to be maintainer and help with the package development.

@reinier-millo I have invited you as a collaborator.

I'm interested, altough I don't have much time to spent. I think I'll just see if I can help with something and create PRs from time to time.

I am so sorry for the late reply.

Because I don't have that much time to maintain the project actively, I am looking for someone to "take over" it. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Also, if you are interested, it would be better to show me the necessary administrative steps (e.g. moving the repository to an organization) because I am still new to the open-source world, and I don't know how certain things work.

However, if no one is interested, I will consider labelling the project as not being maintained anymore and is not usable (due to the lack of multi-device support).
