Only for testing?

This is a question more than an issue. I get the impression that this intended primarily for testing and development of SAML consumers, rather than for production-ready Ruby-powered IDPs?
That was my primary intention yes. I don't use it in production, so I just don't want to claim it's good for that. I do use in staging environments all the time.
Which is not to say that you can't use this in a production environment. The responses are perfectly valid. It just won't have all the options and advanced capabilities that other IdPs usually have. For example it doesn't check conditions and the response it sends back isn't flexible at the moment. But again, it's perfectly valid, and should work fine also in production environments.
