This demo was created in 2012 and will likely need updating to be of use to you. It was minimally updated in 2018 to use new API endpoints.
This is a demo application that uses the CrossRef metadata search api to resolve free text citations to DOIs. If a citation is resolved, it is then sent off to a library OpenURL resolver to locate the online, full-text location of the item.
