Hi all,
I am taking a short break from asmFish, but should hopefully be back sometime in mid-June. If anyone wants to continue patching in the meantime, this is where the state of asmFish currently is:

  • Next commit: "Make kingRing always 8 squares"
  • Followed by: "Simplification: remove pawn shelter/storm masks" [should realign bench with SF]
  • Other: Fix minor spelling mistakes and general clean-up in make.bat.

I am also awaiting a reply from @tthsqe12 at #175. Upon his advice and/or solution, armFish development should resume.

Lastly, I took a look at what it would take to implement the 7-man TBs in asmFish. It should be straight-forward enough, but I would preferably need to know first (1) which compiler/flags Moha used to generate the code at tbcore.asm, and (2) if it would be worth it to re-do this code entirely using a newer compiler such as GCC 8.1.
