Inkscape version 1.0.2

I'm using AWS lambda to manipulate SVG files using Inkscape CLI however the only version available is 0.92 and I need the newer version. Inkscape 1.0 is already out and available for other linux distributions.
I wonder if there's any plan to add the newer version released.
In the meantime I will try the crazy path of install from some of the rpm package available and install missing dependencies or try to compile the sources, let's see if any of those are succesfull paths. Any other suggestions or tips are very welcome
