is Apple Studio Display supported?

Description of the bug

connecting to Apple Studio Display, playing sound via BGM app makes only noise.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to 'tray right click menu'
  2. Click on 'Studio Display Speakers'
  3. Playing something, get only noise (it works if it's switched to Mac Studio internal speakers)

Versions

  • Background Music: 0.4.0
  • macOS: 13.4.1

Hardware

  • Computer: Mac Studio 2023 m2 ultra
  • Audio Device: Studio Display Speakers

Other info

  • Audio Midi settings
    • Studio Display Speakers: 44.1kHz, 8ch, 24bit integer
    • Background Music: 44.1kHz, 2ch, 32bit floating point
    • Mac Studio Speakers: 48.0k, 2ch, 32bit floating point

before i have seen the menu that changes sampling bits and data type, but on ventura there is no such a pulldown menu.

Can confirm that I'm having the same issue here.

i found

  • Only 2-channel (stereo) audio devices are currently supported for output.

in Known issues and solutions

is this the reason?

i tried to let "mac studio speakers" "stereo" at "Audio Midi settings" app, but nothing has been changed.
