Is it possible to change the aspect ratio?

Hi!
I'm trying to change the the size/aspect ratio of a custom bongocat but the images only get cropped to the original bongocat size. I saw some issues about this but most, if not all, were posted over a year ago, just checking if there was an update about this or it is still impossible to do?
