Describe the bug
Cannot install ksnip on KDE neon 5.27 with KDE plasma 6 due incompatible version of libkimageannotator
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Update system to get kde plastma 6
- ksnip is missing, trying to install with
apt install ksnip
and I get the error:
The following packages have unsatisfied dependencies:
libkimageannotator0 : Depends on: libkimageannotator-common (= 0.5.3-1) but will install 0.7.0-0xneon1+22.04+jammy+release+build3
E: Unable to fix issues, you have held packages that are broken.
Expected behavior
Successfully install ksnip
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- OS: Linux
- Distribution in case of Linux: KDE Neon 5.27
- Window System in case of Linux: X11
- How did you install ksnip: apt
Additional context
Is ksnip not compatible with libkimageannotator 0.7?
I get ksnip working again downgrading libkimageannotator-common from 0.7 to 0.5.3-1
sudo apt-get install libkimageannotator-common=0.5.3-1
sudo apt-get install ksnip
While this might a workaround, this has the side effect of removing gwenview
in my case (KDE Plasma 6.0.4 running on Qt 6.7.0 using Wayland on an Ubuntu 22.04 base).
