Cannot focus display if focus lands on empty space

Hey !
I'm trying to setup a multi-monitor setup with yabai with some basic focus shortcuts to move between spaces and windows. I encountered an issue when I move to a display where the current space has no windows.
Basically what happens is that I see the mouse moving to the new display, but the focus stays on the current display (the window still has its focus border, the menu bar on the display I'm trying to focus is greyed (even if the mouse is in the middle of the space), and I need to click the menu bar to gain focus.
Am I missing something ? I tried all the mouse focus configurations and combinations but nothing fixes this issue.
Is there a solution to force the capture of the focus when the mouse enters a new space even if no windows are there ?
