Links to documents are not visible in readthedocs sidebar

The index doesn't show up in the sidebar, but is visible here https://hpfp.readthedocs.io/en/latest/. On my local repository using "make html" will automatically populate the sidebar with links to all the documents listed in "index.rst".
Maybe this something to do with "contents.rst"? It was required by RTD to do builds, but sphinx doesn't require it. Right now it's just an empty, mysterious file.
That was it, commit 1ce1eb1 fixes the issue.
