estimate_shift_configuration error

I'm trying to use the program to estimate optimal regimens over a large phylogeny (tips=1804). However, regardless of the maximum number of shift allowed, the program gives me the following error:
Starting first LASSO (alpha=0) to find a list of candidate configurations.
Error in if (min.score > res$score) { : argument has zero length
The tree is ultrametric and binary.
