Doesn't work with Portal 2

Proton: GE_Proton7_42-1
ReShade: 5.5.2
There is no ReShade overlay.
BUT. If put the two .dll files in "Protal 2/bin" instead of WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3dcompiler_47=n;d3d9=n,b", the overlay appears.
As a control, it is normal with GTA IV.

I'm guessing this is an issue for all games running on Source. I had the same problem with Garry's Mod and putting the 2 linked DLLs in the bin folder resolved the issue.

Can confirm that the same issue happens on Black Mesa with the same fix of moving all the reshade related symlinks to the bin folder

Are you using the Windows version of the game?

I'll try installing portal 2 and test.

From what I read this is also the same if you're on Windows, it's not an issue specific to Wine.

And I also tested Portal 2, putting in the bin folder works.

Oh yeah I did forget to mention I am using the Windows version of the game. (Fixes alot of bugs and better graphics)

Also btw Reshade by default puts the required files in the bin folder. So I guess you could implement it too.
Also have some other ideas I would like to implement into your script if I find the time to do so in the future.

Any luck on this? Feel like I’ve tried all the tricks out there. Made it 32 bit with d3d9, launch command, proton(8.0-3). Also tried putting the two linked dlls in the bin folder then even the win64 folder in said bin folder. Even tried both those putting the linked reshade shaders folder and reshade.ini in both bin and win 64 folders but still no reshade upon launch.
