No respond beside ping over uart, calibration menu has no effect

Hi, I've got the new version of the DSP5005 and successfully flashed opendps. Now I need a way to calibrate it. My first try was per calibration menu. But no matter what values I put in there it doesn't change anything, the output stays at 0 volts. Now I tried to connect via uart with 9600 baudrate. Ping goes well but nothing more. Status, power on etc. gets send without error message but nothing happens on the device. Could you point me in the right direction?
Okay, my fault. Based on a tutorial on another site I thought it would be possible to change the settings in the calibration menu. After some tries I got it calibrated with the python script.
