Krämer is interesting here, because she thinks of notation more as a tool than a way of representation. A lot of this build on C.S. Peirce's work: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Existential_graph
I visited some seminars and lectures of S. Krämer, which led me down the diagrammatics hole. The diagrammatology here is a combination of diagrammatics with grammatology.
The way she introduced notantional iconicity (Schriftbildlichkeit) to the discourse focussed on the materiality, perceptibility and operativity of writing, where language is not only understood as written speech, but includes aspects of the medium and tool script, which are spatiality, graphism, operativity and mechanisms.

If diagrammatics is of general side interest, and you are capable or reading German, there is also
to mention.
