The front page of http://planeteria.org/wfs/ currently shows a blog post by me - http://www.harihareswara.net/sumana/2013/02/09/0 - that uses several em tags. As displayed in Planeteria, the text enclosed by em tags isn't italicized or bolded or emphasized in any way.

I've noticed this with other posts as well. I'm working on a few issues related to Planeteria not displaying feeds properly, hoping to get this fixed soon!

This is actually not a dupe. Those other bugs were for unregistered close tags. Sumana is complaining about unregistered open tags. Reopening for further investigation.

The reset.css we were using disabled em and strong, so I added a couple lines to venus.css to enable em and strong. I confirmed it worked with the exact post you cited (although it's aged out of the wfs feed, I made a temporary Planet Sumana for the purpose). Thanks for the bug report.

Interestingly, the post you cited had both i and em tags. I don't see that too often. But lucky it did because it was the i tag working and the em tag not that tipped me off.
