Release v2.0.2 or v3.0.0 ?

Following this discussion, this issue is about choosing the next version number, v2.0.2 or v3.0.0.
I think it's not worth making a v3.0.0 release because #231 and #232 are bug fixes, but at the same time they change the signature of some methods that were not marked as private (no leading _) or rename some methods. But I doubt users have built extensions on top of them, because they're not documented.
So I will go ahead and release v2.0.2 if there are no objections.
v2.0.2 is out.
