booting from usb key doesn't work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. formatted usb to fat32
2. rebooted laptop 
3. Unetbootin comes up with Launch din
4. select that item in menu
5. nothing happens

What is the expected output?
to launch din synth


What do you see instead?
no action


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

my Linux audio perf config:
Dell Studio 15 Core2 Duo 2.0GHz 3G-RAM
Ubuntu 9.04
kernel 2.6.28.19-generic
jackd version 0.116.1 tmpdir /dev/shm protocol 24
Ardour 2.8.2
Pd version 0.41-4extended
USB iMic audio interface
Korg nanoKontrol
cpufreq-set - both cpu's are set to 2.0GHz and userspace
