Motivation
This job is started by a vehicle insurance company. The project is just a small part of the whole project. To localize the license plate accurately is asked. The project is under development.
Pros & Cons
Pros
Traditional Methods such as quickshift algorithm and feature based string-region estimation are used, but very reliable. The result is better than many commerial chinese plate detection engines.
Cons
Speed Problem exists.
