GUI: Notification of new release obsures bottom-left pane.

Replicate: paste enough text in the Java-script window so that you have to scroll. The bottom is obscured by the notification.
As a user I want to be able to highlight the entire text of the Java-script box so that I can copy, or delete the text.

Correct.
To add context: That is as far low as it can scroll. Because it can only scroll that low, it obscures cutting and pasting into the application. Cutting and pasting is probably one of the biggest use cases for the application.
