Remove regular login using email address

It's critical for us to know each and every website user via their facebook profile.

REMOVE altogether (or hide) the link to "Register for a free account"

I'm not sure I agree with this. I myself am wary of using facebook connect to log on to different things because it shares my information with the website. I've heard it does deter people from registering

personally, I think it's best to keep it but add a Login with Facebook option for users as well.

Our direction: 

Primarily PUSH for Facebook login. 

FB connect is appropriate in this crisis situation and for the Filipino culture ;-) 

keep basic login available (but lower visibility/font).
