Exception with no hyphenation points fail

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add an exception in the pattern file without any hyphenation points (UTF-8)
2. Run the algorithm on the word

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected result is that the word is not hyphenated, but instead the code 
fails with an index out of bounds exception. (This is possibly related to the 
fix for issue #1).
