MyFireChat is a Firebase chat plugin that integrates with myBB.
Current Version: 1.01
- Download the plugin files.
- Upload the files to your forum's /inc directory.
- Activate the plugin under Configuration -> Plugins.
- Edit your chat settings under Configuration -> Settings.
MyFireChat requires a Firebase account in order to function.

Go to Firebase's Sign Up Page to create your account.

Create a new App. We recommend using the name of your forum as the App Name.

Click on Manage App to edit your Firebase chat data.

To use MyFireChat, you will need the App URL and a Firebase Secret. These can both be accessed via the Firebase Manage App manager.

Copy the contents of security_rules.json and paste them in Security & Rules section of your Firebase Manage App Settings. Save the rules.
If you would like to contribute to the development of MyFireChat, you can do so by submitting a pull request. We ask that you submit one pull request per feature. If you have an idea or find a bug, please create an issue so we can update the plugin quickly. The MyFireChat Wiki will be in active development and is the first place you should look for documentation questions.
