Find a quick, serverless or locally hosted way to do M2M compares

Right now, the architecture to make the M2M compares work relies on MongoDB.
I am mulling one python host, or maybe any flask app, auto-exposing a diff-serving endpoint.
Maybe fork a copy of bottle, to be included right with this python package?
This was closed in 0.3.0 via bottle-based server.
