Wrong BPM displayed AND used when syncing to external

I have an issue; when i am syncing to external source i get from 400 to 7-800 BPM. The unit works great using just the MD, but when i sync to for instance BitWig it gets uts.
This tills me it might be port pair 2 and the in port that is screwed, but what circuits is responsible for handling clock sync from external source on that midi port?

Any other ideas?

This is the first time i have this issue, normally no problem like this. Thanks! /Marcus
