File naming scheme

The soci- prefix before every file in the project is largely unhelpful when trying to understand the codebase, and I don't see what value it provides. While it would be annoying to rename every file, I feel the project would benefit from having an easier-to-parse file structure. At this point, I'm unsure what the significance of soci- even is... social?
