Laboratory Experiment No. 2

Objective

To implement Data Definition Language (DDL) SQL commands, Create, Update & Drop Table structures for the Database & Implement Constraints for the individual columns of the tables

Instructions

  1. Understand the Relational model on which the database & DML operations need to be carried out on
  2. Find out all the entitites, attributes & keys that will be required
  3. Implement the DDL SQL commands and create the necessary tables

  1. 'DESCRIBE' all the tables in the relational database created during the experiment (CREATE)
  2. 'SHOW CREATE TABLE' command on all the tables in the database
  3. Usage of Altering table structure SQL commands, namely adding column, deleting columns, changing name of columns. (ALTER)
  4. Usage of deleting tables in database. (DROP)
