How to properly cite?

Hello,

I'm writing a short application note for https://github.com/lcolladotor/derfinderReport and want to cite knitrBootstrap. I used the information from citation('knitrBootstrap') but was wondering if that is indeed how you would like knitrBootstrap to be cited.

Using that information, this would be the citation.

Hester,J. (2014), knitrBootstrap: Knitr Bootstrap framework, R package version
1.0.0, github.com/jimhester/knitrBootstrap.

Thanks

That is as good as anything I suppose, there is no paper or post to cite for it.

Thanks for asking!

Ok and no problem!

Just FYI, when I asked the same question regarding rmarkdown rstudio/rmarkdown#79 they changed the URL to a site they have explaining things.

If interested, maybe you could do something like that for knitrBootstrap. I have my eye on https://github.com/jbryer/Rgitbook (I haven't tried it yet) for making something similar later down the road for derfinder and derfinderReport. There's also https://github.com/rcharts/docs for making http://rcharts.readthedocs.org/en/latest/. Or for example, http://adv-r.had.co.nz/memory.html which seems more custom made.
