Select Product UI abbreviates label names and makes them indistinguishable

The Select Product dialogue is very annoying to me as it crops the label media name to a very short and useless part.
My own label formats have longer names of which only the manufacturers name an the first part of the article number is shown (screenshot). But I also found label media templates which are shipped with gLabels that have this problem (screenshot).
There isn’t even a tool tip or any other way to distinguish between similar label templates, the only way to find out is to select a label and look up the properties of the new document. I also would prefer, if there was a way to see information that is not included in the title, e.g. measurements. If you want to stick with the tile view (I’d prefer a list as in gLabels 3) an option would be to have a bar which shows this information if a label is selected, and a button to open the new document.
This is especially a problem with templates for roll media, because the preview only shows a single rectangular label and no distinguishable pattern of labels arranged on an A4 format.
For comparison, here is a screenshot of the Select Product dialog of gLabels 3, which has a detailed list and was in my opinion a much better solution.
Tested version: 3.99-master562 on Arch Linux with i3wm, the Qt5 theme is KDE’s Breeze (with dark colour scheme)
