I like the idea of having a personal blog, and there is a strong trend these days towards leaving social media sites and owning your own data. But hosting a website, especially a complex one that requires databases and web servers, is a pain. I read about this swyxkit option on HackerNews yesterday so decided to try it out, so here we are.
Leaving comments takes you to the Github site, and the issue thread from which the post was generated. Leaving this comment is done by adding to the issue thread. Of course you need to be logged in to Github, which I guess fights spam pretty well.
