Useful UNIX/Bash Scripts
Executable scripts that I have in my ~/bin
folder for convenience.
screenshots.sh
$ screenshots
Moves all screenshots from your Mac desktop (assuming the files start with "Screen") into a folder on the desktop named "Screenshots."
git-branches.sh
$ git-branches
Retrieves an updated list of remote GitHub branches and deletes all local branches that no longer have a connected remote branch. This is useful to remove local branches that had associated remote branches that have since been merged or deleted.
user.sh
$ user <TWITCH LOGIN>
Retrieves the Twitch user object for the user/channel name provided. Requires adding your own Client-ID directly in the scrip and having jq installed for readable output.
userid.sh
$ userid <TWITCH USER ID>
Retrieves the Twitch user object for the user ID provided. Requires adding your own Client-ID directly in the scrip and having jq installed for readable output.
