SFTP client - no virus found message on client side

Hi

I read that in general SFTP clients are not required to present any message to end user and when uploading eicar via WinSCP the message i get is permissions denied / unable to run lstat against file which was removed by clamav.

I am just wondering if there is actually any way of having message displayed on SFTP client side.
