Akku bids you farewell π

Hi there!
Great news: MacOS can now finally read 3rd party battery state on it's own! π
Getting 3rd party battery states integrated into the operating system itself is far superior over having to use a separate app, and I therefore will be sunsetting Akku.
What does this effectively mean
- This project will see no further development.
At least, from me personally. If you for some reason want to pick up maintainer ship, reach out to me on twitter. - Akku appears to not be compatible with Monterey. (#121)
I have no plans on making Akku compatible with Monterey because of said reasons above. - If you're stuck on a MacOS version before Monterey, feel free to keep using Akku, it should continue to (mostly) work there.
Conclusion
This was a really fun project for me, involving lots of reverse engineering and low level hardware interfacing, which are things I don't get to do all that often!
I'm really happy many people ended up using this - what I still consider to be - experimental app.
I never really have put any effort into promoting it whatsoever, I just created the github repo and it spread by itself organically, so thanks for all your support!
If you liked the notification feature, I would recommend giving AirBuddy by @insidegui a try.
