Please provide some executable format for Linux mobile devices, as this software is not available on latest stable postmarketOS (v22.12). The Alpine edge channel is not suitable for daily driving the phone.
Compiling this is troublesome if you don't run Ubuntu. Also, the PinePhone has very low processing power, so cross-compilation would be necessary on my laptop, which is not the easiest solution.

i recommend to setup aports + abuild and build from source or chose a distro that satisfies your requirements instead of demanding this from the project. I totally understand that this burden is not taken on by upstream projects and recommend @janbar not to do it, as dealing with the myriads of build systems and "one-file" packaging formats will lead to unnecessary overhead, especially as stuff like qt is involved.

Since OP mentions postmarketOS specifically, note that the package in edge has been moved to the community repository of Alpine and thus will be available in the next stable release 3.18. That in turn means it'll be available in the next postmarketOS stable release.

Just have a little bit more patience!

Flatpak would be awesome and would make it available to almost every Linux distro!
