Dr Jamie M. Bright's repositories
clear-sky-models
A library of clear-sky irradiance models
csd-library
Clear-sky irradiance detection methodologies from literature
BrightSolarModel
The Bright Solar Model (SIG, and SDSIG) as detailed in the Journal of Solar Energy
Engerer2-separation-model
Code for the Engerer2 diffuse fraction separation model following the newly parameterised version published in the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy. The model estimates the diffuse horizontal irradiance from inputs of global horizontal irradiance, latitude, longitude and time.
duffie-and-beckman-solar-engineering
Coded versions of Duffie and Beckman solar energineering book from chapters 1 and 2. Made a function of Duffie and Beckman process that takes in latitutde longitude elevation time tilt and azimuth and returns the global tilted irradiance upon the different planes. it also returns all the different angles and irradiance subcomponents as calculated by Hottel and Liu and Jordan, the tilted model assigned is the Perez isotropic diffuse model.
BSRN_matlab_extractor
Process and extract all BSRN data from the raw format straight from ftp download. It includes the unzipping of .data.gz files, the removal of older versions, the reading of the .dat files and the combining of each site into a a single .csv.
dynamic_variable_tool_development
Produce dynamic variables for clear-sky models using different data sources
world-cup-2018-simulator
Simple simulator that uses the FIFA world cup rankings and the real groupings to simulate a winner.
bright-solar-model
Global applicability of a stochastic spatio-temporal solar irradiance and power generator.
csd-method
A new CSD methodology
time-series-validation
A Matlab tool that takes two corresponding time series and performs a thorough comparison following the four class system by Christian A. Gueymard in his 2014 publication titled A review of validation methodologies and statistical performance indicators for modeled solar radiation data : Towards a better bankability of solar projects
climate-comparison-of-dynamic-variables
A comparison of the dynamic variables extracted in the dynamic-variable-production-tool against ground data sources at AERONET, BOM, and BSRN as well as global, diffuse and direct irradiances as derived from REST2.
