Error PUT 409 and Error POST 401

I keep receiving the errors in the title when trying to upload a bulk of device information with the provided templates from MUT. I have the mobile device serial, display name, asset tag, username, real name, email address, department, building and room. When the upload is complete the only thing that show the updates are the display name, none of the other information is uploaded.
Has anyone run into this issue and found a solution?
