Corrupted changelog.txt

prisae opened this issue · comments

Hi Jacob,

I have to update my hashover-next after almost 2.5 years, because I should really move away from PHP 5...

I had a hard time doing so, and in fact I did not completely succeed yet. All the pages without existing comments work fine, but the pages with comments don't. But this seems to be a problem on my side (#278).

But one reason why I had a hard time to follow the changes in the last months is because, I think, the changelog.txt is corrupted.

Compare for instance these two:

Problems:

  • In the master changelog, the newest entry is 2017-08-09.
  • The MIGRATION INFORMATION has the date 2017-02-26; I am pretty sure these changes are not that old.
  • Entries from the old changelog disappeared in the new changelog.

Something happened. Either you overwrote all 2018 and 2019 entries with a 2017-tag, or something else. But I have the impression that following the changelog is not helping me in seeing the changes of the last two years; and there seem to be a lot!

Anyway, I thought I'd let you know. Thanks for keeping this going!

As an example:

1. Comment field appears, there are no comments: https://mexico.werthmuller.org/besucherreisen/coba/
2. No comment field, as there are comments: https://mexico.werthmuller.org/pflanzengerichte/nopalytuna/

I just realized there must be a deeper problem with my setup / migration, potentially. So if you comment now, and press submit, then nothing happen. Pressing F5 to refresh makes the comment section to disappear. But in the files I can see that the comment got registered.

I moved the problem with comments not visible to #278, to keep this about the corrupted changelog.
