Tons of DNS requests when FQDN in field IP address

This is not really a bug, but it would be great when somebody could check the reason behind.
I'm running a PiHole for blocking and internal DNS resolution. When I now use the FQDN of my Synology in the adapters IP Address field, the system send ca. 620k DNS request per day to my PiHole. The adapter works with the IP as well. But when I do some changes to my enviroment it makes my live easier to use the FQDN instead of the IP.
