Let's discuss what should go into version 2018-Q2 of the ILP stack:
Bilateral layer
- BTP/2.0
- SNAP
- Mojaloop api
ILP layer
- ILPv4
Transport layer
- PSK2
- STREAM (when can we tag v1.0?)
- IPRv3
Setup protocols
- PP/SPSP in { http-ilp, web-monetization, web-payments }
- bilateral server discovery (like LSD but not Loopback-specific; String or JSON?)
Networking
- IL-DCP
- Routing
- Ping
Pre / post
- Retail Quote protocol
- Wholesale Quote protocol
- Some pre-transaction messaging standard for KYC/AML?
- Dispute resolution / batch clearing (maybe not necessary if we have SNAP?)
- Balance query protocol?
Should all non-payment BTP messages be wrapped in fake payments? Because right now, Routing updates and IL-DCP are, but paychan claim updates are not.
to do for the 18Q2 tag:
- spec up SNAP
- update http-ilp to use payment pointer method
- spec up IL-DCP
- update C2C spec to describe new Routing
- go through all RFCs and check for deprecated statements
- put the full 18Q2 tag description on the wiki
