When output file missing error is triggered

DBML file is supposed to be the output file. Why the error occurs on the 1st (and any subsequent run unless the output file is manually created - then I get just warning) run following error? Shouldn't it be created?
› Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/src/dbt/test.dbml'
I'm on Ubuntu 20.04 and the output directory has full rights by anyone if that's any relevant.
