Oh, I see: the data itself is fine (copied in the repo), but the reference for its origin has gone. Do you happen to know of a reasonable reference for this?

@martindurant Unfortunately I can't find a summary table with those exact years.

If I'm not mistaken the FBI updated their data management system in the last couple of years which is why I suspect the current URL is dead. The closest tables I could find are:

  1. https://crime-data-explorer.app.cloud.gov/pages/downloads. Scroll to the "Additional Datasets" section at the bottom and select "Summary Reporting System (SYS)".
  2. https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/topic-pages/tables/table-1, which I got to via the parent page: https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s.
