Twitter desktop website crashes with "Aw Snap!" error (Chrome, Edge)

With the "Control Panel" extension active, the twitter desktop website crashes with "Aw Snap!" error, both in the Chrome (124.0.6367.119) and Edge (124.0.2478.80) browsers. This is new behaviour, it did not happen before this week, and I guess that it may be associated with options that I recently enabled or disabled in the extension. Or possibly something has happened in one or more of the browsers that changed the behaviour.

When does it happen? I can't replicate this on Edge 124.0.2478.80 or Chrome 124.0.6367.156 on Windows 10.

Most of the options just change which CSS is generated, other than those which change which specific tweets get hidden, so they shouldn't really have an impact.

If you open the options dialogue, expand the Experiments section and click on the "There are no experiments in this version" text 5 times, debug options will appear which will let you export your settings so I can try to replicate your exact setup.

This looks like a hardware issue. The root cause appears to be a RAM clocking slightly too high for the hardware, affecting applications that use a lot of memory. After disabling XMP on the computer, after 24 hours there have been no further tab crashes. Therefore the extension is not to blame for the errors what were seen earlier.

Not a bug. Root cause seems to have been a hardware setting.
