Left-clicking the icon in Firefox doesn't do anything

Left-clicking policy is set to "Open the account" but it doesn't do anything.
Firefox version: 58.0.2
Add-on version: 0.1.0
Same thing for me. Left click does not work.
Firefox: 70.0.1
Badge counter for Gmail : 0.1.0
Left-click open policy: "Open the account"
Account mode URL: "https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox"
Changing the account mode URL, trying other open policies, did not changes anything. Nothing occurs on a left click.
For me, the extension is completely useless in this state + the bug was reported more than a year ago => uninstall
